ROAR Classroom Terms of Service
These terms govern use of ROAR Classroom, a classroom notes application provided by Notes Over Fields.
Last updated: September 7, 2026
1. The service
ROAR Classroom helps authorized users record, organize, access, recall, back up, and export classroom notes and related records. ROAR is not a replacement for a school's official student information, special-education, health, safety, or records-management system.
2. Accounts and authorization
You must use an account you are authorized to use and are responsible for protecting access to that account. You are responsible for maintaining the Google permissions required for ROAR features you choose to use.
3. Your data
You retain responsibility for the classroom information you enter and for the Google Drive files created or used through ROAR. Core classroom records are designed to remain in your Google environment. You are responsible for complying with your employer's, school's, district's, or organization's policies for student and classroom information.
4. Appropriate use
You may not use ROAR to violate law, infringe another person's rights, interfere with the service, bypass security or access controls, introduce malicious code, or access information you are not authorized to access.
5. Teacher control
ROAR preserves and organizes user-entered records. It is not intended to make educational, disciplinary, diagnostic, employment, or other high-impact decisions about students or other people. If you export ROAR content to another service, you are responsible for that choice and for the receiving service's terms and privacy practices.
6. Availability and changes
ROAR may be updated, improved, suspended, or discontinued. Features may change as the product develops. Notes Over Fields may perform maintenance or take reasonable measures to protect the service, users, or data.
7. Third-party services
ROAR relies on third-party services, including Google. Their availability, security, and terms are controlled by those providers. Notes Over Fields is not responsible for outages or changes to third-party services outside its control.
8. No warranty
ROAR is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. Notes Over Fields does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or suitability for every institutional requirement. Users should maintain appropriate backups and follow their organization's recordkeeping procedures.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Notes Over Fields will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use ROAR. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information and Google user data is described in the ROAR Classroom Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as ROAR Classroom changes. The current version will be posted here with the effective date shown above.
12. Contact
